Hi TechnoLawyer Members:

As previously discussed, if you purchase any Zetafax 8 starter system between November 25-December 31, 2003, we will send you a $150 rebate.

Many people dislike rebates because they seem designed to trick people into making a mistake, or make the process so onerous as to discourage participation.

We have designed our year-end $150 rebate to be as simple and straightforward as possible. However, just to make sure that everything is crystal clear, we've put together five tips for dealing with rebates, including ours.

1. VERIFY THAT THE ITEM YOU BUY QUALIFIES FOR THE REBATE

To qualify for our rebate, you must buy a Zetafax 8 starter system from November 25, 2003 through December 31, 2003. The best way to ensure that your purchase qualifies is to buy it directly from us or from an authorized reseller. To order Zetafax 8 from us or for any questions you may have, please contact me (Mitch) via e-mail or telephone at:

2. PROVIDE THE REQUISITE PAPERWORK

Our rebate does not require you to fill out any forms or cut out a UPC code. However, you do need to prove your purchase and you do need to provide your contact information. Here's a checklist:

-- Copy of Receipt Listing the Product and Date of Purchase
-- Your Full Name
-- Your Firm/Company
-- Your Postal Address
-- Your Telephone Number
-- Your E-Mail Address

Please type your contact information so that there are no handwriting issues. Please fax or e-mail this information to Shannan Friedman, and she will cut you a check. Here's her fax number and e-mail address:

F: 770-442-5789
E: sfriedman@usa.equisys.com

3. SUBMIT YOUR REBATE MATERIAL BEFORE THE DEADLINE

We would hate to deny someone a rebate because of a missed submission deadline. Then again, we cannot have an open-ended deadline and honor a rebate request five years from now -- no one here will likely remember this rebate by then!

So let's set a generous deadline of February 29, 2004 (Leap Day!). Please send your rebate materials to Shannan on that day at the latest. Considering that the last qualifying date for purchase of a Zetafax 8 starter system is December 31, 2003, please do not wait until Leap Day -- send your materials to Shannan as soon as you get your receipt. Why leave your $150 on the table for such a long period of time?

4. KEEP A RECORD OF YOUR PAPERWORK UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THE REBATE CHECK

Mistakes happen. We strive for perfection here at Equisys, but we all make mistakes from time to time. For this reason, please keep a record of the fact that you complied with the above guidelines until you receive your rebate check.

If you submit your rebate materials by fax, keep a record of your fax. In Zetafax 8, you can store this information electronically, and print it later if needed. If you use a fax machine, have the machine print a confirmation page and be sure to keep your receipt.

If you submit your rebate by e-mail, cc yourself and keep the copy you receive until you get your check.

5. IF A MISTAKE DOES OCCUR, PLEASE DON'T DELAY IN CALLING US

Although unlikely, if you do not receive your $150 rebate check within six weeks of submitting your rebate materials, please call us during week 7 or 8. Don't wait six months. By then, the rebate will be a distant memory!

With these five common sense tips, you should have no trouble receiving our rebate not to mention all those other rebates with much more complex requirements.
